Late to the party here, but have extremely relevant information. I have the LG UltraFine 4K display. I'm using it right now with a 2016 Razer Blade (with Thunderbolt 3) running Windows 10. Using the Thunderbolt 3 Port, the display works. There is an issue in that the ambient light sensor does not have an appropriate driver for Windows 10, so the brightness will not automatically adjust. Color seems to be another issue as well because it appears I'm stuck with the sRGB gamut as opposed to DCI-P3, but I haven't had the pleasure of having this monitor for more than 2 hours, and need to do a lot more research into the issue as it's well out of my experience. Anyone know how to change or create color gamut files for Windows?

I want to obviously just go from mini display port (or thunderbolt) to display port on monitor. I am getting conflicting information. Thanks all!!! Right from google guys: 'The current version, DisplayPort 1.2, delivers enough bandwidth to carry video resolutions of up to 3840 by 2160 pixels at a refresh rate of 60Hz, and it supports all common 3D video formats. DisplayPort cables can also carry multichannel digital audio.'

Best text editors for coding mac. Hello - is it possible does anyone know to attach an older style Macintosh cinema dispay 24' monitor to a Lenovo ThinkCentre M92p PC. The PC has a display port as well as a vga output.

Any help would be appreciated ' And answer I got: 'Downloading the latest drivers for my monitor solved this issue for me. Try doing the same.

I had the same monitor LG 29EA93 and the only way I could get it to work was the older version of SwitchResX 3.8.6. Using new macmini the best I could do was 2560x1080 @ 52Hz. Took a lot of tinkering with the setting but you just can't seam to get the full 60Hz otherwise screen goes out of range and you get a black screen. Even getting it to 52Hz was a struggle was easier sticking to 51Hz. Just go to custom setting hit + and change the bottom right Vertical Scan rate to 51Hz.
